ACES Khobar Successfully completes the Quality Control for the King Fahd Causeway Island Project in Khobar

ACES Khobar successfully completed the quality control works for the King Fahd Causeway Island “A” Project in Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

The project’s scope of work consists of dredging and reclamation of “Artificial Island A of King Fahd Causeway”, with a contract value of $78 million and a construction period of 18 months. It involves reclamation of 7 million cubic meters of material and foundation treatment of an artificial island covering an area of some 720,000 square meters, artificial island revetment construction and marina construction.

ACES Khobar scope of work included technical support and guidance in site laboratory testing including rock testing (drop test, shape index, soundness, point load index, specific gravity, ten percent fine and aggregate impact value), concrete test, field testing (field CBR, DCPT) and soil testing.

The owner of the project is King Fahd Causeway Authority, the consultant is Dar SSH International Consultant and the contractor is China Harbour Engineering Arabia Co. Ltd. (CHEAC).
