ACES Jeddah is Awarded the Geotechnical Investigation for the Strategic Water Tank Project in Saudi Arabia

ACES Jeddah was awarded the geotechnical investigation works for the Strategic Water Tank Project in Makkah and Taif in Saudi Arabia. The project will involve the construction of strategic reservoirs (8 in Makkah and 9 in Taif) with an approximate capacity of 170000 m3, a height of 20m and diameter of 106m.

The scope of work includes drilling 148 boreholes with total drilling depth 3,800 meters, installation of piezometers, performing soil resistivity tests, performing 200 plate load test and routine laboratory testing on soil and rock samples as well as geophysical survey including cross-hole seismic logging and multi-channel analysis waves (MASW). The owner of the project is Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), the main contractor is AL Ayuni Investment & Contracting Co. and the consultant is Khatib & Alami Co.
