ACES Dubai has been awarded the pavement evaluation work for Fujairah International Airport. The testing has started in the airport sections, including runway-associated taxiways, taxi links, rapid exits, and aprons.
The scope of work includes the back analysis of the deflection data collected by the Super Heavy Falling Weight Deflectometer (SH-FWD) to calculate layers’ moduli, subgrade estimated CBR, pavement structure critical layer, residual life, required overlay, and the Pavement Classification Number (PCN).
Fujairah International Airport is located 1.9km South of Fujairah, serving the Emirate of Fujairah as a gate to the world. Fujairah International Airport was inaugurated in October 1987 to cover over 2 million passengers monthly capacity.
ACES client for this project is the joint venture of Orascom Construction and Al Sahraa Group.
