ACES signed a memorandum of understanding with the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) to provide advisory services related to environment, food, and industrial chemistry testing. Additionally, through this MoU, parties will collaborate to provide testing services in mechanics, energy efficiency and renewable energy, and advisory services related to measurement, calibration and conformity certificates, as well as, training and capacity building.

Capitalizing on ACES wide network of offices in the region, both parties agree to cooperate in providing services for projects of common interest in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Iraq, and Kuwait. The memorandum was signed by the Vice President for Technical Affairs Eng. Tareq Hasan on behalf of the RSS, and Co-CEO, Eng. Izzat Katkhuda on behalf of ACES.

Eng. Tareq Hasan explained that the RSS undertakes specialised and accredited testing services through 41 accredited laboratories, nationally and internationally based on the ISO17025 standard, research work with local industries and universities; in addition, it performs inspection services and issues conformity certifications according to the ISO9001 and the international ISO17020 and ISO17065 certificates related to inspection and calibration. 

The Co-CEO of the ACES Group, Eng. Izzat Katkhuda, elaborated that ACES is a specialized engineering company with 20 offices spanning across the Middle East. He added that the ACES offers a wide range of specialized engineering services including site reconnaissance, geotechnical investigations, material technology, project quality control, special studies, land and marine surveys, and chemical and environmental testing.

Eng. Katkhuda added that ACES employs more than 2,300 engineers, scientists, and professionals, and maintains state-of-the-art equipment including drill rigs, laboratories and field-testing equipment which is accredited by international bodies, with ISO9001, ISO17025, ISO45001 and ISO14001 certificates.
