ACES Dubai successfully completed the site investigation for Packages 2C and 2D of Etihad Railway project. The railway spans 1,200 km across the seven UAE Emirates, and forms an essential part of GCC wide Union Railway.
The scope of work consisted of over 7,000 linear meters of core drilling using wireline systems in steep and rugged mountainous terrain, in addition to an extensive field testing program including pressuremeter testing, drilling Diagraphy analysis, packer permeability and optical borehole televiewing. The laboratory testing program included a full suite of tests ranging from routine physical and mechanical tests to more sophisticated tests such as triaxial testing of soil and rock, Cerchar testing, rock shear and joint shear testing in rock samples.
The client is China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) – Ghantout Transport & General Contracting (GTGC) Joint Venture.
