ACES KSA Western Region has recently completed the geotechnical investigation for AMAALA Triple Bay and Staff Village project. AMAALA is a 4,155 km2 year-round destination that will offer 3,000 hotel rooms across some 25 hotels, as well as private residential villas, apartments, and estate homes.
The scope of work for on-land works includes drilling and sampling of 1000+ boreholes, with geotechnical field-testing including trail pits, in situ CBR, earth electric rode resistance test (ERT), and routine lab testing on soil and rock samples. The marine geotechnical investigation includes drilling of 25 boreholes, which contain 17 nearshore and eight offshore boreholes, to a maximum depth of 40m.
The client for this project is the owner AMAALA.
