ACES Oman is glad to announce the completion of the offshore geotechnical and geophysical study for the Subsea Cable Project that covers a 35km marine route from Mahout to Masirah Island.
ACES scope involved drilling of 13 marine boreholes to varied depths along the route, in addition to an extensive array of marine geophysical surveys, which included a Multibeam Bathymetric Survey (MBES), Magnetometer (Magi), Sub-Bottom Profiler (SBP), Side Scan Sonar (SSS), Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), and an environmental condition survey.
The client for this project is Tractebel Engineering Consultancy LLC, and the owner is Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC).
