We are pleased to share the completion of the offshore geotechnical investigation for the marina beach and navigation channel of the Simaisma Beach Development in Qatar. Taking shape along seven kilometers of Qatar’s eastern coast, the development spans approximately 8 million square meters and is planned to include a large theme park, luxury resorts, a golf course, villas, and a marina and yacht club.

The navigation channel extends approximately three kilometers from the shoreline into the sea. The program comprised 13 offshore boreholes drilled to depths of 10 to 25 meters below the seabed, together with in situ testing, soil and rock sampling, groundwater observations, and a supporting laboratory program. Offshore investigation of this kind establishes the subsurface conditions on which the design and construction of marine works depend, in an environment where access, weather, and safety planning shape every activity. The work reflects the offshore capability of the ACES Geotechnical Department, from drilling and sampling to laboratory results, delivered under one program.
